WaldPfade BW is an interactive nature trail app for Baden-Württemberg. The app starts with the climate change path in the Waldshut city forest. Further nature trails and interesting individual points for forest visitors will follow. At ten stations on the climate change path, adults and children each learn how a 15-hectare spruce forest died within two years due to summer drought and bark beetles, but also how a new forest that has been adapted to climate change and extreme weather is emerging. The app leads directly to the parking lot and the starting point of the nature trail in the Waldshut Forest. The information about all stations can be listened to in the app. There is additional information for those who want to know more about the background of the station topics. Everything can also be read comfortably at home.In the kids mode, the nature trail mascot Lina Lynx explains the stations in child-friendly language and invites you to discover and participate on site. There is a quiz question at the end of each station. Anyone who can answer all of them is a forest professional!WaldPfade BW and the KlimaWandelPfad in Waldshut-Tiengen were created as part of the "model area southern Black Forest" project and the information campaign "Turn the tide" in 2021, after the forest in the region had suffered particularly badly from the consequences of the drought.
